“I have lost lovers,  endangered friendships, and blundered into eccentricity, impelled by a concentration which usually is to be found only in the minds of people about to be executed in the next half hour.”

-Writer Maya Angelou, in Black Women Writers

JOIN THE CUTTER CREW

I am engulfed by the same fierce concentration as Angelou, but am extremely blessed to have supporters who both put up with it and appreciate me despite my eccentricity. The Cutter Clan is the small army of fans and supporters who make my mission to write possible.

This Cutter Crew page is a place to recognize partners, supporters, and fans who have had a very special impact on my ability to successfully create my stories.

Thank You!

Thank You!

Many of you read these stories live as the book was written, and your feedback was key in making this novel a reality! -Dan Convery -Heather Jones -Caroline Ann Courtland -Donna Olden -Jeff Klimchuck ... and many more!!!

Schaine

Schaine

My wife and biggest fan, Schaine’s support of my writing dream has been constant from the moment she first read one of my stories. Without her sacrifices and patience with my sometimes all-consuming focus, none of this would be possible. To my lifelong buddy and the best wife and mother ever, thank you!

Geoff Young

Geoff Young

Geoff Young is a film writer, director, and producer and generously uses his decades of international creative experience to fine-tune my stories. As my co-author, editor, producer, and strategic story planner, Geoff is a critical enabler of my work and instrumental in getting me published. His vision and keen insight into the elements of what makes a good story as well as ongoing encouragement of my efforts continue to be instrumental to my success.

Ray Herndon

Ray Herndon

Ray Herndon is a real American trucker, trucking company owner, law enforcement officer, and highway interdiction expert. He inspired my first novel, Georgia Rolling, and his continued contributions are much appreciated. Ray is the owner and head instructor at Diamondback Commercial Motor Vehicle training and is an amazing resource for teaching law enforcement how to stop drug smuggling and human trafficking on America’s highways.

Charis Tenney

Charis Tenney

Charis Tenney is an exceptional photographer and visual arts creator, who shot over 9,000 pictures pro bono for the Georgia Rolling project! She also was the original designer and developer for the Joel Cutter website and has provided key assistance on dozens of other tasks that were not my area of expertise. She continues to contribute photoshoots for cover and promotional art such as the interim cover for PRO, and is a prime example of what the Cutter Clan is all about.

Eddie Nickerson

Eddie Nickerson

Eddie Nickerson is an actor, stunt man, and screenwriter with credits in parts for several movies and as writer of the feature film Wrong Turn at Tahoe with Cuba Gooding Jr. In addition to his advice as a seasoned writer, he generously agreed to be the cover model for Georgia Rolling and did a fantastic job capturing the essence of Ron Hartman on camera. Eddie is an inspired writer and creator and I look forward both to seeing his upcoming project and working together in the future.

Tommie Johnson III

Tommie Johnson III

Tommie Johnson III grew up in a gang-involved community on the South Side of Oklahoma City. From a young age he was passionate about making a positive impact on his community. He went to college, has served as a police officer and is now running to be elected sheriff of Oklahoma County. Tommie and I have talked extensively about his childhood, his Christian faith, and the self-destructive path that some of his friends took, and he is a key inspiration for my upcoming series PRO.

Anne Polley

Anne Polley

Anne Polley is an amazing copyeditor who has generously donated her time to help ensure my novels are publisher ready. For all of the thousands of mistakes she has fixed, I thank her from the bottom of my heart!

Fleet Services Diesel

Fleet Services Diesel

Fleet Services Diesel: David Herndon and the fine people at this Diesel shop have been there from the beginning, teaching me about trucks and supporting my writing. I am happy to endorse their services in Laurel, MS. They will take good care of you and your rig! Check them out on Facebook or give them a call: 601-425-1856

Donna Olden

Donna Olden

Donna Olden was one of my very first fans to become inspired by the Transfer series, and her expressive comments, continual sharing of my work with friends, and heartfelt appreciation have brought me a special joy. Donna embodies the encouragement that the entire Cutter Clan, which is all of you, my fans, give me each day. Thank you to all of you for that, and a special thank you to Donna Olden! Nancy

Nancy

Nancy Balyeat is my original fan, and liked my stories before it was cool! As my mother and homeschool teacher, she taught me how to read and inspired in me a love of books and stories. She encouraged me when I wrote my first novel (unpublished) at the age of 15 and has always given me honest but supportive feedback. Thank you, mom!

Finally, and most importantly, Jesus Christ is the author of my existence and the creator of all of my gifts, including writing. As I finish this list I thank God for putting each of these people in my life to help me. I strive to let God’s light shine through my books because I believe that the only story that is worth telling is His. My greatest hope is that by weaving threads of truth into my stories, I can point people toward and help prepare people’s hearts to believe the Word of Life.

Want to be officially recognized on the Cutter Crew page? You can be! As Georgia Rolling, Transfer, and other projects move from novel format to film, dozens of opportunities for expertise, in-kind contributions, big rig usage, shooting locations, or assistance on set may be available.
